It’s been a while since we last rambled into a microphone, and since we last did that the video game community collectively shat itself inside-out via Twitter. This time we discuss #GamerGate (obligatory hashtag included) while firmly rooted to our fence, and if I see one more person write “you just don’t get it” while rolling their eyes I’m going to vomit so hard that spittle oozes from my eye sockets. Nobody gets it, as far as I can tell.
We also touch briefly upon gamer entitlement, John Constantine the Hellblazer, Peter Capaldi as the eponymous Doctor in Doctor Who and Batman’s rogues gallery collectively stripping on Bruce Wayne’s lawn (I’m still not entirely sure how that last one came about).
The podcast is available to download, can be played via the native html5 player below or watched on YouTube. The video providing the background for this podcast is a random grab-bag of console footage, beginning with me sucking horribly at MGSV: Ground Zeroes and then concluding with lots of really old footage of Uncharted 3‘s multiplayer mode that I’ve has squatting on my PS3’s harddrive for yonks.
P.S. in case you’re wondering what the two controversies are (as we never explicitly state this in the podcast), they are impartial games journalism and feminism in video games.
